The Dead Weather

The Dead Weather is an American alternative rock supergroup, formed in Nashville, Tennessee in 2009. Composed of Alison Mosshart (of The Kills and Discount), Jack White (of The White Stripes and The Raconteurs), Dean Fertita (of Queens of the Stone Age) and Jack Lawrence (of The Raconteurs and The Greenhornes), The Dead Weather debuted at the opening of Third Man Records' Nashville headquarters on March 11, 2009. The band performed live for the first time at the event, immediately before releasing their debut single "Hang You from the Heavens."

The band's second studio album, Sea of Cowards, was released first in Ireland on May 7, then on May 10 and 11 in the United Kingdom and the United States, respectively. The first single off the album, "Die by the Drop", was released March 30.

Smashing Pumpkins Siamese Dream (Reissue)

Siamese Dream (Reissue)

Capitol/EMI

The black turtleneck to Kurt Cobain's flannel shirt, Billy Corgan brought an auteur's sensibility to Nineties alternative rock: He didn't smash guitars, he stroked them into ecstatic swells of heaviosity as he cooed composition-book poetry. With 1993's Siamese Dream – which, like the band’s debut, Gish, has been beautifully remastered and loaded with extras, including a hometown show on DVD – Corgan built a monument to art rock and OCD. His dizzy, acid-softened side lent songs like "Hummer" their poignancy – and animates the best bonus material. Are those bongos on "Blue"?

Creepy Nashville all-girl garage band The Black Belles prime for the release of their self-titled, Jack White-endorsed, debut.

The White Stripes mainman, now producer and Third Man label manager, discovered the witchy quartet and recorded their first two 7-inches.

The first, 'What Can I Do', became the theme to Elvira's Movie Macabre TV show and the second, 'Charlene 11', saw them as the backing band for master satirist Stephen Colbert.

Single number one from their self-titled debut is 'Honky Tonk Horror', featuring the ghoulish gals in their full, grave-robbing, garage glory.

Check out a preview below. The album will be out on December 2.

Mazzy Star : The Los Angeles duo's first single in 15 years is pure country-rock haze

Mazzy Star

"Common Burn"

Rolling Stone: star rating
Community: star rating

The Los Angeles duo's first single in 15 years is pure country-rock haze: nodding harmonica, shivering electric guitar and Hope Sandoval's voice – angel, lover, hallucination of your mom speaking to you in utero. It's like they never left.

Well, things are starting to heat up down on E Street.
A lot of you have been hearing that Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band will be on tour in 2012. That is absolutely correct. The European dates run from the middle of May until end of July and are being announced this week. Info on the US dates and the World tour dates will coming up shortly.

In addition, we want you to know that the music is almost done (but still untitled), we have almost settled on the release date (but not quite yet), and that we are all incredibly excited about everything that we're planning for 2012. That's all the info we have for right now, but we'll get back to you--real soon.
So far, only four dates have been announced. He probably wouldn't have announced any tour plans this early, but the European festivals were announcing their line-ups this week. Expect many more dates to come soon. Also, don't be surprised if he does a run of American arenas before going to Europe in May.
